About Shenzhen MSU-BIT University

Shenzhen MSU-BIT University is a non-profit higher education institution with an independent status of legal entity. Located in Shenzhen Guangdong, it is cofounded by Lomonosov Moscow State University, Beijing Institute of Technology, and Shenzhen Municipal People’s Government. Approved by the Ministry of Education for its formal establishment in October 2016, the University is the first Sino-Foreign Cooperative University in China, which introduces the superior educational resources of the Russian Federation.

The Shenzhen MSU-BIT University is targeted at providing access to the world-class education, high-standard research and innovation activities. In view of the global technological and economic development, the University shall train high-quality talents for Sino-Russian strategic cooperation and the regional economic and social development of China. The educational goal of the University is to establish a unique, comprehensive and internationalized first-class university.

To achieve such a great objectives the University uses the advanced learning and teaching technologies, as well as accomplishments and experience in the sphere of education and science from both countries — the Russian Federation and the People's Republic of China.

The University uses MSU educational programs based on the unique MSU methodologies. The education on Bachelor-level is conducted in two languages — Russian and Chinese, English language is studied as a second foreign language. The education on Master-level is conducted in Russian or English, with an opportunity to study other two languages as the foreign languages. Such approach enables the University graduates to participate in the implementation of Sino-Russian economic cooperation projects and large-scale international projects. University educational mode and curriculum are based on the standards of Moscow State University. University courses are taught mainly by the MSU professors and teachers.

In 2017, the University opened five faculties — the Faculty of Philology, the Faculty of Biology, the Faculty of Materials Science, the Faculty of Computational Mathematics and Cybernetics, the Faculty of Economics — to recruit students for the following educational programs:

Bachelor’s degree programs:

  • “Russian language and literature”;
  • “Applied Mathematics and Computer Science”;
  • “Chemistry, Physics and Mechanics of Materials”;
  • “Economics”.

Master’s degree programs:

  • Nanobiotechnology (in English);
  • Fundamental and Systemic Ecology (in English);
  • Contemporary Russian Language and Culture (in Russian).

University campus is located in the southwest part of the Longgang district, Shenzhen city and covers a total of 34-hectare.

The University aims to be a unique, comprehensive, world-class university, offering elite education and maintaining high standards of research. It is committed to train high-quality talents for Chinese-Russian strategic cooperation and regional economic and social development.
